Lecture summary:
Continuous economic development is leading to an increase in demand for natural resources, resulting in higher energy consumption and increasing amounts of waste. The long-standing displacement economy has caused significant damage to the environment and accelerated climate change. Therefore, the introduction of sustainable development is undeniably necessary to improve environmental quality and reduce the harmful effects of production and consumption. Systematic changes are being made in various industries that follow the 6R principles (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover). This also applies to tank cleaning, where new systems are not only aesthetically designed, but also environmentally friendly in order to comply with strict EU regulations. Modernized processes are replacing harmful cleaning agents with alkaline high-performance cleaners and use low-temperature processes to conserve resources. In addition, the regeneration of cleaning solutions is being reconsidered, which reduces operating costs. Energy recovery from wastewater has gained economic importance. STOCKMEIER Chemie is developing sustainable overall concepts together with tank cleaners that focus on cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness. For over 40 years, tanker cleaning has been continuously improved and innovative products have been developed in cooperation with customers. The aim is to achieve net zero emissions by reducing cleaning times and saving energy. Anyone interested can contact STOCKMEIER Chemie about the latest developments and products.
